Pisa and Lucca from Florence with a chauffeur
The Leaning Tower, Piazza dei Miracoli and the walls of Lucca: a day from Florence with a chauffeur, with bookings and ZTL notes.
Pisa
Piazza del Duomo, known as Piazza dei Miracoli, brings together the Leaning Tower, Cathedral, Baptistery, Camposanto, Opera del Duomo Museum and Sinopie Museum. The Tower is the cathedral's bell tower, about 56 m high, built between the 12th and 14th centuries. Climbing it requires booking and children under 8 are not admitted: recheck on the Opera della Primaziale Pisana's site, where booking is handled.
Lucca
The historic centre is ringed by 16th-century walls, about 4.2-4.5 km long depending on sources, closed to vehicles and walked or cycled. The historic centre is a ZTL with electronic gates; according to an accessibility website NCC vehicles are authorised; we very often have special permits for ZTLs and we confirm access and the drop-off point in the quote. The walls may close during events.
With a chauffeur
In Pisa most of the centre is a ZTL and tour coaches do not enter Piazza dei Miracoli. We very often have special permits for ZTLs: we confirm access and the drop-off point in the quote. You avoid parking and changing trains and buses, but in both cities part of the visit is on foot.
